I am a C (d)

I think the test we conducted in class, pretty much gauged me. I am a true C type. I like to have every thing in front of my eyes, to see and than to believe. even in my private life if my math doesn't mach, I don't trust and believe easy. I like to step in secure grounds. If I am not sure about something I just don't take the initiative to do it. I always analyze things thoroughly, and I take my precious time before I take a decision. Do I wish to be different? Maybe yes and no. I wish I was a D sometimes. When you have to pull the trigger, you just got to do it :-) How can I change to a D type? I don't really know. I guess I have to have more guts, and trust my intuition more. The funny thing is that I have an intuition, and it is always damn right, just that I follow it a little to late, after I see the facts, which is too late. Knowing where I stand as a management type helps others understand where I come from. Because I manage my personal life just the same way. I think that knowing others manager type would help me a lot to deal with them. A leader doesn't like to be told what to do. Even in his or her personal life a leader is a leader.
In the stranded scenario I would have liked to have a D leader with my team. There would be no confusion, and everyone would follow a D leader. We had many ideas of what main necessity objects we needed, and each of us kind of didn't want to trust the other members of the team because no one showed expert knowledge, or experience knowledge. There was to much confusion. A D leader would have put the dot over the i.

  1. Hello,

I agree, I almost always am a c... however when put in a situation to be a D, I don't think I have a problem stepping up. I think we will need to adapt to being a D, I, C or S in different times of our lives, so having a little of all is not so bad.

  2. I am a C as well and I too am an over-analyzer. I think the test accurately measures you because if you like to analyze certain things that's just who you are. I too would like to be an "I" instead of a C but I think it is possible to be a combination of all of these traits. Of course one trait will always be more dominant than the others. Being a D you need to make quick decisions so if that's what you want I think you can gradually change your habits.

  3. I am a D high C. I do like to take risks but sometimes I am just TOO shy for certain things.

I will agree with the stranded exercise selection type. I also think that a D leader will be the best choice for the stranded scenario. Not particularly any kind of D, perhaps a D with a high I. I think that an individual with some sort of personality is necessary to not forgo the positive attitude we need to keep in such situations.

  4. I am a D type and trust me, it is not hard to be a D type. You just need to have that desire of wanting to be a leader. I mean, I do believe in myself but most of all I like to be a leader and be called a "leader". I am not exactly sure if I am a good leader, but I like to in charge of everything and get everything done in my way.

  5. I agree that the test most likely had everyone results correct. I do agree with you that no one should regret about who they are. However, I wouldn't think that everyone will want to immedatly choose D I as their type.
